By using Live PDF Editor you agree to these terms. We have kept them short and in plain words.
The service
Live PDF Editor (livepdfeditor.com) offers free online tools to edit, convert, compress, organise, sign and protect PDF files. Most tools run in your browser; tools that use our server are clearly marked.
Using the tools
You may use Live PDF Editor for free, for personal and work documents. Only use files you own or have permission to open and change.
What is not allowed
Don’t use Live PDF Editor to break the law, to infringe someone else’s copyright, or to remove passwords or protection from documents that aren’t yours. Don’t change documents to deceive people, for example to forge certificates, bank statements or signatures. Don’t try to harm the site, overload it, or use it automatically in bulk.
Your files stay yours
We claim no rights to the files you add or the files you create. You are responsible for what you put in them and for how you use them.
Signatures and edits
Sign PDF places a picture of your signature on the page. It is not a certified digital signature, which some official and legal processes require. When you edit text with Edit Text Pro or Edit PDF, you are responsible for making sure the result is true and allowed.
Our website
The design, text and code of Live PDF Editor belong to us. Some parts are open-source software and fonts, used under their own licences (for example MIT, Apache 2.0 and the SIL Open Font License).
No guarantee
We work hard to make every tool correct and reliable, but the tools are provided “as is”, without any guarantee. Always keep a copy of important originals and check the result before you send it anywhere official.
Limitation of liability
Live PDF Editor is a free service. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or the files it produces.
Changes to the service and these terms
We may add, change or remove tools at any time, and the site may sometimes be unavailable. We may update these terms when the site changes; the date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
