Sometimes a PDF is the wrong format. A WhatsApp status, an Instagram post or a slide in a presentation needs a picture, not a document. A form asks you to upload a photo of a certificate, but you only have it as a PDF. A teacher wants page 12 of the textbook as an image to put on a worksheet. PDF to JPG turns the pages you choose into JPG images that open everywhere.
After adding your PDF, you see every page as a thumbnail. Leave the selection empty to convert the whole document, or tap just the pages you need. You can also type pages in the box, such as 1-2, 5. The main button always shows how many pages will become images.
Choose the quality. Normal renders pages at 150 dots per inch, which looks clear on a phone or computer screen and keeps files small enough to share. High renders at 300 dots per inch, the usual resolution for printing, so small text stays readable when the image is printed or zoomed in; the files are larger. Each page becomes its own image named after your PDF and the page number, like report-page-3.jpg, so the order is never lost.
When you convert more than one page, you can download each image separately, or all of them at once as a ZIP file, which is easier on a computer. On a phone, you can share an image straight to WhatsApp or save it to your gallery. Pages are drawn by a PDF engine that runs inside your browser, so your file never leaves your device and nothing is uploaded.
Locked PDFs need to be unlocked first. Very long documents at high quality take a while and use a lot of memory; on an older phone, convert a few pages at a time. If you want to go the other way and put photos into a PDF, use JPG to PDF. To pull out only some pages but keep them as a PDF, Split PDF is the better choice.
